Hi Lissy!

Today, I received the revised prototype for the Lissy doll, and I heart it. They screened the jacket so that the pattern is just like the one I painted and they fixed the face as I wasn't happy with the first attempt:

The doll on the left was the first prototype, you can see how the new one (the one on the right) now actually looks Asian and just like my character.

I'm so excited. Can't wait for my birthday and the official release!

Grace- that is about the cutest thing ever! Did you get to work with the manufacturers? It's pretty typical that you'd have to go back and forth a little to get the right look- and looks like they got it!

I like the revised prototype much better. The first prototype doll looks as if she is about to fall asleep. Can't wait to get my own Lissy doll!

Thanks, all! Yes, I did work with the manufacturers. Merrymakers sent me the doll and I told them what I didn't like about it and redrew the line art for the face for them. I was afraid I was overstepping my bounds, but they welcomed it. They were really great and a WONDERFUL company to work with. I'm so happy Lissy is with them.

That first doll is a Groovy Girl! Is it the same company or did they just totally rip off the design?

I love your version, in any case, and I want it, want it, want it.
